Statement
This collection is a statement exploring the chaotic yet logical behavior of nature. Traditionally, Crystalline glazes are very difficult to control. A multitude of factors, such as humidity or their position in the kiln, affect their appearance after being fired. On the surface, they seem almost magical, but everything that happens can be explained using science.
There is a steady rhythm that flows throughout nature. It influences every being, every creature, everything down to the most minute detail. That's why I'm drawn to crystal structures and why I incorporated them into my creative process. Finding structure in the chaos of crystals, I share this as a reminder that there is order in our world of perceived chaos.
